Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Excellent transport links with the Elizabeth line less than 5 minutes walk from the building. The high street is also less than 5 minutes walk away. With access the most stores you need. There is an ASDA less than 10 minutes walk away.... In terms of Food, you have access to really good chinese / Indian restaurants and the usual fast food chains like KFC / MCDonalds, all within walking distance. Parking is available in the building, but it costs £100 a month which is normal for the area. In terms of traffic noise, I guess you will probably only be hearing the trains as the flats are right next to the track... But given the excellent sound isolation in the apartment, I barely notice them with the windows closed. I generally feel safe going out at night in the area, but it can get a bit dodgy past mid night
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Always, and very quickly. They have an excellent maintenance request system via the tenant portal
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I'd try to sign up for a long term contract that limits rent adjustments for the whole term, with the current rate of inflation, I don't think it would be long before the rents hit 2k a month in no time.

Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
The lack of parking is a pity but I know the next phase will have a car park. Much needed for residents.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
Living in APO Barking is very convenient and enjoyable. The area offers a good selection of local shops, supermarkets, and a growing number of cafés and restaurants. Barking Park and other nearby green spaces provide great spots for walking, relaxing, or exercising. Transport links are excellent, with Barking Station offering Underground, Overground, and National Rail services, making travel into central London and beyond quick and easy. The street feels safe and well-kept, with reliable bin collections and a quiet atmosphere. It’s a friendly neighbourhood with a real sense of community.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
The building management at APO Barking has always responded quickly and efficiently to any issues I’ve raised, resolving them in a timely and professional manner. Their communication is clear, and they genuinely care about residents’ comfort and satisfaction.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
One thing I wish I had known before moving in is how active and welcoming the community at APO Barking is—there are regular events, shared spaces like the lounge and rooftop that really bring people together. It’s more than just an apartment; it feels like a community. A tip for new neighbours: make the most of the shared spaces and don’t hesitate to chat with the team—they’re incredibly helpful and make settling in so much easier.

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The good: The center of Liverpool is basically in your back yard, everything is close and almost all facilities are available. The bad: Very limited parking spaces around.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
Their service is prompt for maintenance or quickly fixable issues; however, larger matters beyond their immediate control require significantly more time to resolve.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
I wish I had been aware of the parking difficulties, and that being centrally located in Liverpool results in significantly higher car and motorcycle insurance premiums.
